No Christmas would be complete without gingerbread men!! I am happy to say I had very little to do with this batch, but I did teach my brother in law how to make these and decorate them with Katie and I. He had so much fun and even pinched a few "for the road", he'll be back.... ;)

Pram blanket for Callie
I am really loving creating texture at the moment with knitting. This is a blanket from a pattern I found online. It's a pram blanket which I thought would be a great size for putting over Callie in her carseat or buggy without having to carry a great big bulky thing - especially in the summer.
This is a knitted lace, it took quite a while to get used to dropping and picking up so many stitches but I am delighted with the results. Callie looks quite happy too :)

Owl wall hanging
Katie really likes owls at the moment, I made an owl cushion which she has in her bed - you'll see it on the quilt post. I made this to go on her wall too but have yet to actually hang it. I like that it's a simple word too, I may make some others to go with it if I get inspired.... watch this space!
Jumper for Oliver.
I have to say this is my favourite knitted item to date, I am so pleased with it!! I wanted something with texture like an aran, but I am allergic to wool so converted an aran pattern to knit with DK yarn. I am over the moon, I love the detail, it's called a blackberry stitch and it does look like blackberries! Perhaps I should make one my size!

Katie's quilt
This was about three years in the making. My husband had to have words with me to finish it rather than waste all that time making it when I threatened to give up on it. He has promised to remind me of this should I ever consider making a quilt again!
Still, I am really pleased how it turned out. It is mostly sewn by hand and then partially quilted by machine. Really time consuming but I'm really pleased how it turned out.
Over the shoulder nappy holder!
I wanted a bag that I could just sling things in, all my big bags have got flaps over which get in the way. It's hard to open them with baby on one hip and whatever else is going on so I decided to make my own from a pattern I found online. I am over the moon with it, and it's machine washable which is handy since the kids' beakers must leak in my bag daily. *Sigh*
Something for Martin
My lovely husband is so patient with me, forsaking cuddles on the sofa in the evening to listen to the sewing machine or the tapping of knitting needles and the occasional expletive, so I thought that I would make him a little something to keep him snug as it's getting a little chillier. Actually, I was working on this for about a year and finished it in the summer! Still, I'm sure he'll appreciate it one day.
Actually, I made the bench cushion too.

A bum warmer for me!!!
This took me quite a while, but I always have several projects on the go!! I made it extra long so that it keeps my back warm when I'm sitting down. I don't look quite as glamorous in it as the model on the pattern front but it's lovely and cosy. The pattern is the same on the back too, it's mostly moss stitch so very time consuming!
