Gingerbread men!!!

No Christmas would be complete without gingerbread men!! I am happy to say I had very little to do with this batch, but I did teach my brother in law how to make these and decorate them with Katie and I. He had so much fun and even pinched a few "for the road", he'll be back.... ;)

Christmas decoration for Elodie

Elodie's mum joined our craft group and she admired this ornament I was making - so I finished it for Elodie this Christmas. The back is similar, I have embroidered 2011 on the middle heart in a colour matching thread for a subtle effect.

Christmas decorations for Olga.

I made these for my next door neighbours Rupert and Olga. Olga is from the Ukraine, I saw the fabric print and it made me think of her. I think these Christmas hearts are lovely and festive with the gold trim and ribbon.

Miss and Master Christmas

I didn't make anything in this picture, my husband found these little outfits for our children and they are just so adorable I wanted to post them on here. They are seriously gorgeous!!!

Pram blanket for Callie

I am really loving creating texture at the moment with knitting. This is a blanket from a pattern I found online. It's a pram blanket which I thought would be a great size for putting over Callie in her carseat or buggy without having to carry a great big bulky thing - especially in the summer.

This is a knitted lace, it took quite a while to get used to dropping and picking up so many stitches but I am delighted with the results. Callie looks quite happy too :)

Elodie's cardigan

Look at this!! I love the texture this has created, I am going to alter the pattern to fit my daughter at some point because I think this is such a beautiful top. The colour is a lovely kingfisher blue with a ribbon threaded through eyelets all around the middle and then tied to close.

Owl wall hanging

Katie really likes owls at the moment, I made an owl cushion which she has in her bed - you'll see it on the quilt post. I made this to go on her wall too but have yet to actually hang it. I like that it's a simple word too, I may make some others to go with it if I get inspired.... watch this space!

Jumper for Oliver.

I have to say this is my favourite knitted item to date, I am so pleased with it!! I wanted something with texture like an aran, but I am allergic to wool so converted an aran pattern to knit with DK yarn. I am over the moon, I love the detail, it's called a blackberry stitch and it does look like blackberries! Perhaps I should make one my size!

Lexie's third birthday - bolero with flower detail

I had to sew the flowers onto the cardigan so that they didn't curl when the item was washed which left them a bit flatter than I'd hoped. Still, I'm pleased with it and love the colour.

Gifts for the twins

I had it in my head to make tiny jumpers for Sid and Dotty... They are tiny and quite cute, much like the twins themselves!

Katie's quilt

This was about three years in the making. My husband had to have words with me to finish it rather than waste all that time making it when I threatened to give up on it. He has promised to remind me of this should I ever consider making a quilt again!

Still, I am really pleased how it turned out. It is mostly sewn by hand and then partially quilted by machine. Really time consuming but I'm really pleased how it turned out.

Over the shoulder nappy holder!

I wanted a bag that I could just sling things in, all my big bags have got flaps over which get in the way. It's hard to open them with baby on one hip and whatever else is going on so I decided to make my own from a pattern I found online. I am over the moon with it, and it's machine washable which is handy since the kids' beakers must leak in my bag daily. *Sigh*

Something for Martin

My lovely husband is so patient with me, forsaking cuddles on the sofa in the evening to listen to the sewing machine or the tapping of knitting needles and the occasional expletive, so I thought that I would make him a little something to keep him snug as it's getting a little chillier. Actually, I was working on this for about a year and finished it in the summer! Still, I'm sure he'll appreciate it one day.

Actually, I made the bench cushion too.

Jumper for Joseph

You may recognise this as a jumper I've made before! I do like it though.

Ollie's Jumper strike two!

...a few days later the jumper is extended and fits perfectly. For how long is anyone's guess!!

Princess Peppa

This is out of felt for Katie's bedroom. I don't think the picture does it justice actually, I got the light a bit wrong but I really like this, Katie doesn't appreciate it of course, but she is only two!

Bunny!!!

I made this to see if I could. It is colour co-ordinated with a blanket I am crocheting for Katie. The rate I am going with it though it's unlikely she'll have it for some time!!!

A bum warmer for me!!!

This took me quite a while, but I always have several projects on the go!! I made it extra long so that it keeps my back warm when I'm sitting down. I don't look quite as glamorous in it as the model on the pattern front but it's lovely and cosy. The pattern is the same on the back too, it's mostly moss stitch so very time consuming!

Ollie's jumper

I made this for my lovely boy while he was still newborn. Now he is 17 weeks and big enough to wear outfits he has already outgrown it! I am in the process of undoing this jumper and re-knitting it to be longer. He's so lovely but so big!!!

Cornish Pasties

I have taken to making Cornish pasties, they are so easy to make and with a food processor even making pastry is a doddle. How tasty do these look?!?! Mmmmm.....

James' jumper

James is 1 and this fits him perfectly, he wears it a lot. The pattern is so simple but it just gives it something extra.

My gorgeous boy!!!

My gorgeous Oliver, born October 2010. My greatest creation since his sister. They're both so scrummy!!!!

Christmas present hats and gloves

I love these hats, I'm going to make more of them so beware your kids, they will all be wearing these in time!! :)

Katie's tank top

I made this with the wool left over from a jumper I made her last year, I really like it! I am now making one for my husband!!

Katie's new cardigan

Hello Kitty Jumper

I made this jumper for Lexie's 2nd birthday. I am pleased to say she wears it all the time so I know my work is appreciated!
